24.06 | June '24: Progress!!!

This month was all about getting some new content up and running... And honestly... I did!

In this months blog

ToastMasters StageRebels Workshop

After a lot of thinking I finally found the name I want to use for what was called the "ToastMasters". Took a bit long, but then I realised... Really... The whole goal of this website is to make things simple and this workshop is just one more example of that... So... Let's keep the name simple as well!

"StageRebels Workshop" it is and the best thing?! I right away wrote on article on starting your very own StageRebels Workshop so you to can start learning together with family, friends or coworkers!

Writing the articles...

So the first article is clearly the one about "starting your very own StageRebels Workshop", but it didn't stop there. Based on the knowledge I gained from the ToastMasters sessions we did at my day job, I was able to update many of the articles with some new found knowledge! On top of this, I updated the eBook as well, just to make sure everything is inline, something I added to my calendar to do each quarter so I can keep providing you with the most up to date knowledge :)

Videos & Scripting...

After doing some extensive research for the last few weeks on video types, strategies etc etc, I created my backlog of video's I would like to record and put them in order of recording. Quickly after this, I blocked time in my calendar for all the stages these things go through like; scripting, recording, editing etc...
Unfortunately, this month went by so fast, that I again didn't get around to recording anything, but I hope to turn this around rather sooner then later.

Website & Social Media Update...

This month I spent some time fixing the SEO for the website after taking a crash course in making your website found better in Google. Hope this will help :)

Costs vs. Income

My goal is to keep providing all the basic information on StageRebels.com for free to those that need it, but at the same time, it does cost me time and money as well. In an attempt to just cover some of the costs, I decided to use Amazon Affiliate links and I played around with Paypal Donations, for which you can see the button at the bottom of the page.

Conclusion

It was quite a busy month and I was able to add some valuable content to the website again. I also noticed there were 5 unique visitors (excluding myself) that arrived through google, so my guess is that the SEO is slowly starting to rub off. I didn't make any marketing myself yet, so I can only guess on where they came from.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting some nice action shots at one of the horse stables nearby. This image is of Meysa, a 1 year old pony that was running around the fields all happy.
